Privacy policy

ProjectionWealth ("we", "us") is a wealth-tracking and financial-planning tool built in India. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, theDPDP Rules, 2025 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including the SPDI Rules, 2011). What we collect

  • Account details — your name and email address, and your basic Google profile if you sign in with Google. We use passwordless sign-in (Google or email magic links), so we never store a password.
  • Financial data you add — holdings, transactions, SIPs, goals, liabilities, manual assets and the portfolios you create for family members. This data exists only because you typed it in or imported it.
  • Imported files — broker CSV files (for example a Zerodha tradebook) or CAMS/NSDL CAS statements you upload. We read them to extract your transactions; they are processed for that purpose only.
  • Payment details — payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials; we store only your plan, payment status and invoice history.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and server logs used for security and to keep the service running.

What we never collect

  • Your bank or demat credentials — we never connect to your bank, broker or an account aggregator.
  • OTPs of any kind.
  • Your PAN is not required to use ProjectionWealth. If you choose to label portfolios with names for ITR purposes, those labels are yours and stay in your account.

How we use your data

  • To run the product: compute your net worth, projections, goal funding and tax estimates.
  • To update market prices daily from public sources (NSE, BSE, AMFI).
  • To send transactional email: sign-in links, receipts and service notices.
  • To respond when you contact support.
  • To meet legal obligations that apply to us in India.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to market third-party products to you.

Consent

We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you create an account and add your data. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see "Retention and deletion" below).

Third parties we rely on

We share the minimum data needed with service providers who help us run ProjectionWealth: Razorpay (payment processing), Google (optional sign-in), and our hosting and email-delivery providers. Each processes data only on our instructions and for no other purpose.

Cookies

The app uses cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected by access controls. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay's PCI-DSS-compliant systems. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Rules.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export everything to CSV at any time, and you can delete your account from settings — deletion is immediate and permanent; we do not keep a copy of your financial data. Records we are legally required to retain (such as invoices, for tax law) are kept only as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data (most data you can edit directly in the app).
  • Erase your data by deleting your account.
  • Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
  • Raise a grievance and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

Children

ProjectionWealth is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Portfolios you create to track a child's investments are managed by you, the account holder.

Our grievance contact is Hardik Vegad (Founder). For any privacy concern or grievance, write tohello@projectionwealth.com with the subject "Privacy grievance". We acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within the timelines set by the DPDP Rules, 2025.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and, for material changes, notify you by email before they take effect.
