How do I add a PPF, EPF, NPS or SSY account?

Add a government scheme with a balance and contributions that grow over time.

Updated 22 Jul 2026

Government schemes grow through regular contributions and compounding, not a market price. Add one with its opening balance and how much you put in, and the ledger keeps it accurate.

Add a government scheme

Step 1: Pick the scheme

In Assets, click Asset, choose PPF / EPF / NPS, then set the Scheme TypePPF (Public Provident Fund), EPF (Employee Provident Fund), NPS (National Pension System), SSY (Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana), KVP, NSC or SCSS.

Step 2: Enter the balance and contributions

Set the Opening Date, your contribution Frequency and Contribution amount, and the Current Balance from your passbook. Then Save.

Enter the opening balance and your yearly contribution; the passbook value goes in Current Balance.

Note: Tick Create past contributions from the opening date to today and the app fills in the deposits you've already made — so your returns are accurate from day one. You can edit any of them afterwards.

Adding an EPF account? If your salary details are set, the form suggests standard contribution amounts — click Use these values to accept them.
