Your Dashboard & Net Worth

What do Net Worth, Invested and Returns mean?

What each headline number counts — and why Day Change sometimes shows a dash.

Updated 22 Jul 2026

Four numbers do most of the talking on your dashboard. They sound similar but count different things — once you know which is which, the whole screen reads at a glance.

What each number counts

Net Worth, Total Invested, Total Returns and Day Change — side by side.

  • Net Worth is everything you own at today's value, minus everything you owe. It's the single "where I stand" figure.
  • Total Invested is what you actually put in — your cost, not today's value. The line beneath it counts your asset classes and holdings.
  • Total Returns is the gap between the two: current value minus what you invested, shown in rupees and as a percent.
  • Day Change is only today's movement in your market holdings — not your whole net worth.

Note: Total Invested stays put when prices move — it only changes when you add or sell. So a rising Total Returns against a flat Total Invested is exactly what you'd expect.

When Day Change shows a dash

Before the day's prices and NAVs arrive, Day Change can't be calculated yet. Instead of a wrong number, it shows a dash and the line Awaiting today's price/NAV update.

The waiting state — the figure fills in once today's prices land.

This is normal early in the day or over weekends and holidays, when markets are closed. Your other cards still show the latest known values — only today's movement waits.
