How do I record an EMI payment?

Each EMI you pay chips away at the loan. Record it — or let ProjectionWealth do it for you — and the outstanding balance, interest paid and progress all move along.

Record an EMI by hand

Step 1: Open the loan

From Liabilities, click the loan, then click Record EMI in the top-right.

Step 2: Enter the payment

Set the Payment Date and Amount — the EMI amount is filled in for you — and click Record.

The amount defaults to your EMI; change it for a part-payment if needed.

Or record them automatically

Prefer not to think about it? Turn on Record EMI automatically — on the loan, or when you add it. On the EMI day each month, ProjectionWealth creates the payment for you and emails you to verify.

Note: Each recorded EMI is split into principal and interest behind the scenes, so your Interest Paid and Repayment Progress stay accurate.
