Loans & Liabilities

How do I track a loan's schedule and close it?

Read the amortization schedule and payment history, then close a paid-off loan.

Updated 22 Jul 2026

Every loan comes with a full month-by-month plan, and once it's paid off you can tidy it away. Both live on the loan's page.

Read the schedule

Scroll to Repayment Schedule. Each row is one month's EMI, split into Principal and Interest, with the running Balance beside it. Months already gone by are marked PAID.

Each EMI splits into principal and interest — early on, most of it is interest.

Only the first few months show by default. Click Show all … EMIs to expand the whole plan, and Payment History lists the EMIs you've actually recorded.

Close a paid-off loan

When a loan is done, click the delete icon in the top-right — labelled Close liability. Confirm on the Close Liability prompt with Close, and it's marked inactive.

Note: Closing a loan keeps it in your records rather than erasing it — it just stops counting against your Total Outstanding and net worth.
