How do I set my profile and life milestones?

Set your age and retirement, then add life events — and model a home, vehicle or market crash.

Updated 22 Jul 2026

Every projection needs an anchor — who you are and the big moments ahead. The Your Profile and Milestones steps set both.

Your profile

Set whether you're planning as Single or a Couple, your Employment (Salaried, Business / Self-employed or Both), and your Date of Birth, Retirement Age and Life Expectancy. These frame the whole timeline.

Retirement age is where working income stops and withdrawals begin in the forecast.

Life milestones

On the Milestones step, click Add milestone to place events on your timeline — like Home Purchase, Retirement / FIRE, First Child, Higher Education or a Market Crash Test. Each is pinned by a condition: At age, In year or when your Net worth hits a number.

Give a milestone financial impact

A milestone can also cost (or shock) money. Open one and click Set financial impact. For a purchase, set the Property Value (or Vehicle Price), choose Financing, and pick a Down-payment fund sourceAuto — engine picks, Link to a goal or Pick sources manually. For a crash, set a Market drop and a Recovery period.

A home purchase with a loan — the plan works the EMI and down-payment into your future cash flow.

Note: A Market Crash Test is a stress test, not a prediction — it drops your investments once and lets them recover, so you can see how the plan holds up.
