How do I edit or delete a transaction?

Fix or remove a buy, sell or dividend and let the numbers recalculate.

Updated 22 Jul 2026

Typed a wrong price or a stray zero? Fix it on the transaction itself and every number recalculates — average cost, returns and tax all follow.

Find the transaction

Open the holding and scroll to its Transactions table. Each row is one buy, sell or dividend, with an edit and a delete button on the right.

Every entry with edit and delete on the right. Same-day buy-and-sell rows carry an Intraday badge.

Edit a transaction

Click the pencil on a row. The Edit Transaction form lets you update the Date, Quantity, Price and notes, with a live Value as you go. Click Save.

Change any field — the holding's totals recalculate the moment you save.

Delete a transaction

Click the trash icon on a row to remove it. You'll be asked to confirm first. Once deleted, the holding's quantity and cost adjust as if it never happened.

Note: Editing or deleting a buy re-runs the FIFO matching on any later sells, so realized gains and tax update too. If you only want to browse without changing anything, the Transactions page shows every entry read-only.
